THE CUNY FORUM
"Television for the Public Service"

The CUNY Forum is a monthly public affairs discussion among students, faculty, policy makers and analysts about major issues affecting New York City. Held in the CUNY-TV studio at the Graduate Center, the forums are later broadcast throughout the City on CUNY-TV’s cable channel 75. The Forum last 90 minutes. The first half is devoted to panel discussions among several participants and a moderator. The second half is reserved for questions from the audience. Students in the NYC Internship Program are required to attend each forum as part of their coursework and traditionally make up the larger audience for the Forums. Topics are chosen by the ETR Internship Program with input from the participating Campus Faculty Coordinators of the program.

By broadcasting the CUNY Forum in the City, the ETR Internship Program aims to provide a valuable public resource to CUNY students and faculty--as well as residents throughout the 5 boroughs.
